A serious issue that many people in Toronto are facing in their day-to-day lives is the great phenomenon called pollution. The people of Toronto are facing serious health threats due to three major types of pollution. The first major type of pollution is water pollution, which effects many people in Toronto because of the many polluted streams, rivers, and lake Ontario which we receive our water from. Secondly, Torontonians are in risk due to the increasing amount of Air pollution which is proven to be a serious threat to our health. And Thirdly, Pesticide Pollution is another form of pollution which is on the rise to ruining our health. Introduction
Today as I trot through the forests of my homelands, I feel free knowing that my life is free from torture. For me, there will be no new products tested on my body or any body of any organism. My life is safe now from all manufacturers and scientists. My life is no longer open for testing. Although this may be true for my generation and me in the year 2050, it unfortunately was not for my ancestors.
Long ago, I was walking through the forests of my homelands. It was a cold morning; so I wasn’t really worried about many predators, just something to eat. As I foraged, I began to sense something. I chose Marie Curie because she was a great asset to science. She discovered Radium and polonium. Without her we could not be able to cure people with cancer or even take a simple x-ray. Everyday she lives on through the items she made. It was great to learn about her since she did so much for everyone. She made it possible for them to do heart surgery on me and not hurt me because of the x-ray they took. I wanted to do my term paper project on her since she helped keep me alive.
